The Yellow Watchman Goby is a species of Goby found in Tap Tap Fish: Abyssrium. They are the 10th species listed on the Saltwater Tank's Normal Fish list, and the 6th Goby.

Appearance

The Yellow Watchman Goby, like its name suggests, is colored a yellow-greenish color all over its body. There are 3 small, lighter colored dots arranged in a straight line on each side of its head, running from its eyes to its dorsal fin. Its fins are translucent, being shaped like all other Goby fins.

The Yellow Watchman Goby counts towards the Goby total, helping to unlock Tangs.

2 Yellow Watchman Gobies are required, along with UNKNOWN MATERIALS, to fuse a Wheeler's Shrimp Goby.

Requirements

It is unlocked at the same time as all the other non-hidden Gobies, by obtaining the Red Sea Fan and collecting any combination of 5 Clownfish.

Biology

Spotty — A Yellow Watchman Goby, aka the "Yellow Prawn Goby," laying peacefully on top of some coral.

The Yellow Watchman Goby is a species of Goby native to the Western Pacific, living near the surface of coastal bays and lagoons. These fish, just like their cousin, the Randall's Gobies, are often partnered with pistol shrimp when housed in saltwater aquariums. Much like the other members of their biological family, Goby, these fish are known to be very peaceful with other tankmates, only becoming aggressive with its own species if unpaired. It's strongly advised that you get a tight lid for your aquarium, as they're known to leap out of the water.

Yellow Watchman Gobies more commonly go by the name Yellow Prawn Gobies, just like the Randall's Goby
The texture for AbyssRium's Yellow Watchman Goby is actually wrong to some degree, only having 3 small white dots on either side of its head, unlike its real-life counterpart. The real-life Goby features a numerous amount of bright blue freckle-like spots, normally starting on the face and becoming more sparse as it wraps around the neck and spine, along with spots that cover each fin.
Yellow Watchman Gobies actually come in several colours, including yellow, orange, grey, and brown.
