The Orchid Dottyback is a species of Dottyback found in Tap Tap Fish: Abyssrium. They are the thirty-third species listed on the Saltwater Tank's Normal Fish list, and the second Dottyback.
Appearance[]
The Orchid Dottyback is almost entirely light magenta, with the exception of its sharp, translucent, white pelvic fin and a small purple marking around its eye. Its pectoral and tail fins are slightly lighter than the rest of its body.
Requirements[]
To unlock the Orchid Dottyback, the player must own Orange Cup Coral and create any combination of 5 Angels. It is unlocked, therefore, simultaneously to the Royal Dottyback and the Diadem Dottyback.
2 Orchid Dottybacks are required to fuse a Strawberry Dottyback, along with 100 Seaweed, 20 Clams and 5 Sea Urchins.
The Orchid Dottyback counts toward the Dottyback total, helping to unlock Butterflies.
Biology[]
The Orchid Dottyback, also known as the Friedman's Dottyback, is a popular aquarium fish that is captive-bred. It feeds on many types of foods designed for carnivores, and only needs to be fed once every day[1]. It tends to be nervous and protective of its hiding places at first, but will gradually become acclimated to its climate and swim in more open waters.
